Wine Lover's Delight
The wine festival begins with the washing of feet and the stamping of grapes in a wooden tub in front of the town hall. The people who do the stamping are all local dignitaries and when they have pressed the grapes into juice it is offered to the onlookers. The Wine Festival begins at the end of August and ends in September. You purchase a 0,25 litre glass with your first drink and you can then take it with you to try different wines from other wine booths from the Stuttgart area.
