Beginning on Ascension Day (Thursday) the music festival with a difference, lasts until Monday. Our local brass band, The Musikverein Hofen (Brass orchestra from the town of Hofen) perform their annual concert in a tent in a park adjacent to the river Neckar. Beautiful music amid breathtaking scenery for five whole days. Bands from the neighbourhood make guest appearances during this time.

The music played ranges from well-known German music to international modern day hits.

Founded in 1905 the Musikverein Hofen is well known not only in the Stuttgart area but also abroad. The Orchestra has given concerts in America, France, Italy, Poland and Russia. The Musikverein Hofen ensures that all young people interested in music who join their organization are given professional training. Many local companies and private individuals sponsor them or make a donation for this worthy cause.
