Gardner's Delight
We travel to the nearby town of Ludwigsburg and visit the breathtaking baroque palace and gardens with an English connection.
Princess Charlotte Auguste Mathilde the daughter of King George III of England and Hannover, married the heir to the throne of Württemberg, Prince Friedrich on 18.05.1797 in St. James's Palace in London. The Princess and her husband lived in this castle and are both buried here.
We go on to the fairytale garden where the mushrooms sing as you walk by. You will see lots of childhood favourites in little grottos like the witch in Hansel and Gretel, Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel and Aladdin and the forty thieves. Look into the magic mirror of Snow White's Stepmother and see what happens when you chant, the famous words,"mirror mirror on the wall who is the fairest one of all?"
