The public transport system in Stuttgart is excellent. You can travel by public transport to all major sightseeing locations. The majority of the public transport stations were refurbished for the World Cup in 2006 and have access for the disabled. Most of the underground and tram stations have same level platforms and lifts and escalators connect the platforms with the pavement above. Most of the bus and tram stops have ramps and same level platforms with easy access for pushchairs and wheelchairs .
